Päijän Boats will officially launch the production-ready Aerot® telescopic oar at Metstrade 2026 in Amsterdam. For the first time, international buyers and distributors will see the final product, retail packaging and distribution-ready Aerot® range at Stand 01.765.
Aerot® was first introduced to the international marine industry as a prototype. Since then, the concept has evolved into a complete commercial product built for international retail, distribution and everyday use.
At Metstrade 2026, Aerot® Telescopic is ready to launch.
A rowing oar designed around the user
Traditional rowing oars force the rower to adapt to a fixed length, fixed position and fixed geometry. Aerot® takes a different approach. Its patented telescopic and modular construction allows the oar to adapt to the rower, the boat and the way it is used.
The length adjusts from 190 to 270 cm, while the adjustable oarlock position makes it possible to fine-tune the setup for different boats and rowing positions.
The result is a more natural rowing motion, improved ergonomics, longer and stronger strokes and more efficient power transfer.
Simply put: rowing becomes easier, more comfortable and more enjoyable.
Built to travel – and built to sell
Aerot® was designed not only for better rowing, but also for the realities of international distribution.
A traditional full-length pair of oars is difficult and expensive to transport, store and display. Aerot® solves that problem with a compact retail package measuring only **120 × 12 × 15 cm**.
That makes Aerot® significantly easier to ship, warehouse and stock – whether the destination is a marine store, boat dealer, distributor or e-commerce warehouse.
One adjustable product can also serve a much wider range of boats and customers than traditional fixed-length oars.
Designed for a long life
Aerot® is modular, serviceable and repairable.
Individual components can be replaced or upgraded instead of replacing the complete oar. The anodized aluminium shaft and glass-fibre reinforced components are designed for demanding everyday use. That means fewer disposable products, less waste and a considerably longer usable life. Aerot® is backed by a 10-year warranty.
